At a young age, Steve started tearing apart bicycles and putting them back together. Once he was a teenager, bicycles became cars, and he had two years of high school automotive training. Then, Steve went off to Ferris State College for two more years of automotive training, before moving to Florida where he worked in the parts field of the automotive industry. In the late-80s, Steve moved back to Michigan and worked in the parts field for a few more years. After that, he worked as a service advisor and started a small engine repair service. Around the same time, a good friend was selling his auto repair shop, and Steve decided it was the perfect time to jump in and become an auto repair shop owner. Today, Steve has 35 years of auto industry experience and continues his education through the Carquest Training Institute.
